As we gather here today, our hearts are heavy with sorrow, but they are also filled with love and admiration as we remember our dear brother, Robert Kwesi Koomson, whom we affectionately called Dicanto.
Robert was the firstborn of our parents, a role he embraced with unwavering responsibility. From a young age, he worked tirelessly in various jobs to support the family. His hands were skilled in carpentry, crafting not only wood but also a better life for those he loved. Yet, it was his heart—full of kindness—that made him truly exceptional.
Robert’s love for our parents was unmatched. He ensured that their every need was met, and his care for them was constant and unwavering. As siblings, we were blessed to have him. Someone who was always there to extend a helping hand, offer advice, or simply be a source of comfort and strength.
But Robert's love extended beyond the family. He had a remarkable ability to touch the lives of everyone he encountered. His infectious smile, and willingness to help anyone in need made him not just our brother, but a brother to many. He was the kind of person who left a lasting impression, whose presence brought light into the lives of those around him.
Today, as we say our final goodbyes, we do so with a profound sense of loss. But we are also filled with immense gratitude for the time we had with him. He has left an indelible mark on this world, one that will continue to inspire us.
We, his siblings, are forever proud to call him our brother. His memory will live on in our hearts, and the love he showed us will continue to be a guiding light in our lives.
Rest in peace, Dicanto. Your memory will forever be cherished, and your love will continue to surround us.
With all our love,
Your Siblings
