John 11:25 ESV
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live."

It is with profound sadness that we gather to remember and honor the life of our dear father-in-law, who left us on Sunday, June 30th, 2024.

"Daa," as we affectionately called him, was a remarkable man whose presence brought joy, wisdom, and love into our lives. As we mourn his passing, we also celebrate the extraordinary person he was and the lasting impact he had on all of us.

From the moment we joined this family, he embraced us with open arms and a heart full of warmth. His generosity, kindness, and unwavering support were a constant source of comfort and strength. He was not just a father-in-law to us; he became a father figure, a mentor, and a cherished friend.

To our husbands, he was more than just a father; he was a hero. The guidance, wisdom, and strength he provided were unparalleled. His life stories, which he generously shared with us, were filled with rich experiences and valuable lessons. Through these stories, he imparted not only his knowledge but also his deep love for his family and his unwavering principles.

One of his greatest gifts to us was his encouragement to build a loving and strong relationship. He always reminded his sons to be loving, supportive, and kind to their wives, embodying these values in his own marriage. His example has left an indelible mark on our hearts and our relationship.

He had an incredible ability to see the good in everyone and brought out the best in those around him. His gentle spirit, combined with his steadfast integrity and wisdom, made him a pillar of our family. He was always ready with a kind word, a listening ear, and wise counsel, helping us navigate through life's challenges with grace and resilience.

As a devoted family man, he poured his heart into raising his children with love and dedication. He intentionally cared for us, his in-laws, and showered us with love, also encouraging his sons to always prioritize their wives and children. He took immense pride in our accomplishments and happiness, and his influence can be seen in the wonderful people we have become.

We are especially grateful for the amazing husbands and wives he raised for us, whose kindness, strength, and love are a testament to the values instilled by their father.

His legacy as a loving father and husband continues to shine through his children and grandchildren.

Though we have lost him, we find consolation in knowing that he is now at peace. Romans 8:18 reminds us, "For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us." We take comfort in the belief that his suffering has ended, and he is now surrounded by the glory of God.

As we remember him today, we hold on to the countless joyful moments we shared – the laughter, the celebrations, and the simple, precious times of togetherness. Each memory is a testament to the love and happiness he brought into our lives.

To our sweet, beloved father-in-law, Daa, thank you for your endless love and the beautiful memories we will forever hold in our hearts. Your spirit will continue to live on in each of us, guiding us and inspiring us to live with the same love, kindness, and strength that you exemplified every day.

Rest in peace, Daa, knowing that you are deeply loved and will never be forgotten.
