Tribute by In-Laws

John 11:25 ESV
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live."

It is with profound sadness that we gather to remember and honor the life of our dear father-in-law, who left us on Sunday, June 30th, 2024.

"Daa," as we affectionately called him, was a remarkable man whose presence brought joy, wisdom, and love into our lives. As we mourn his passing, we also celebrate the extraordinary person he was and the lasting impact he had on all of us.

Tribute by Siblings

As we gather here today, our hearts are heavy with sorrow, but they are also filled with love and admiration as we remember our dear brother, Robert Kwesi Koomson, whom we affectionately called Dicanto.

Robert was the firstborn of our parents, a role he embraced with unwavering responsibility. From a young age, he worked tirelessly in various jobs to support the family. His hands were skilled in carpentry, crafting not only wood but also a better life for those he loved. Yet, it was his heart—full of kindness—that made him truly exceptional.

Tribute by Church

With profound sorrow yet heartfelt gratitude, we gather to honor the memory of Brother Robert Koomson, a pillar of the Good Shepherd Church. From 2003 until his passing. He joined the Church with his wife sis. Rose Koomson and children at Praise Academy School premises where the church started from.

Tribute by Widow

Today, with a heart full of memories and gratitude, I pay tribute to my beloved husband, a man whose life was a testament to hard work and generosity. Joe Dicanto, as I affectionately called him, was more than a partner; he was the bedrock of our family, the source of strength and love that carried us through all of life's challenges. Our journey together began when I was just 20 years old. We married, and from that moment on, we embarked on a beautiful adventure of building a life together. Robert was a hardworking man who dedicated his life to providing for our family.

Tribute by Children

It is with deep sorrow that we write this tribute to you, Robert Kwesi Koomson. You were our anchor, our support, and the guiding force in our lives. Throughout the years, you made an immeasurable impact on us, shaping us into who we are today.

Known to everyone as “Waoh,” but affectionately called “Joe Decanto” at home—a nickname you brought back from Nigeria—we couldn’t have asked for a better father. He denied yourself personal comforts to ensure that your family was always well taken care of.
